Yuga Labs Launches Dookey Dash Skill-Based NFT Game

Holders Of Bored Apes and Mutant Apes Can Claim Free Sewer Passes

Yuga Labs, the company behind the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection, has unveiled a new NFT mint, which will require players to compete in a skill-based game.

Later today, holders of BAYC and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFTs will be able to claim a Sewer Pass for free. The game, called Dookey Dash, can be played by anyone holding the Sewer Pass NFT and is a skill-based endless runner game similar to Subway Surfers and Temple Run.

Dookey Dash is set to go live on Jan 18. Players will have three weeks to try and achieve the highest score possible by collecting items and completing quests in the fame.

Sewer passes will then be validated on Feb. 15, with the highest scorer winning a key to a mysterious and very important box.

Sewer passes have four tiers, with the higher tiers awarding players with higher scores due to multipliers. Users also have the option to buy power-up packs for 2 APE ($9).

Users must play at least once and score more than zero to validate their passes.

On February 15th, validated Sewer Passes will be eligible to transform into a mysterious new power source. the official BAYC account tweeted. Further, the items revealed will evolve throughout the year and be used in future games.

Earlier this week, Yuga Labs announced that it will add support for warm wallets warm.xyz and delegate.cash. Warm wallets are a safer option for users to mint NFTs and avoid losing their assets to malicious contracts.

They work by having users delegate their cold wallet containing their valuable NFTs to a secondary wallet for the process of minting NFTs. The move was welcomed by the community.

Amid the ongoing market rally, ApeCoin has underperformed the broader market. APE is up 2% in the past week, while Ether has rallied 20%.
