The Bitcoin network hash rate has reached an all-time high of 248.11 EH/s.

In only one day, the network hash rate increased by 31.69 percent, from 188.40 EH/s to 248.11 EH/s, ensuring the Bitcoin network’s resilience against assaults.

The Bitcoin (BTC) network reached an all-time high hash rate of 248.11M TH/s on February 12, 2022, further protecting the decentralised ecosystem through a growing network of worldwide BTC miners.

The hash rate is proportional to the amount of computational power required by a miner’s computer equipment to confirm a transaction. The latest increase in the hash rate of BTC’s network offers further protection against assaults by discouraging bad actors from approving fake transactions.

The network hash rate increased 31.69 percent in one day, from 188.40 EH/s to 248.11 EH/s, as shown in the picture above. Furthermore, the Bitcoin network’s hash rate levels increased by 54.33 percent in the last year.

Previously, China’s blanket prohibition on cryptocurrency mining and trade raised worries about the Bitcoin network’s security, since the Asian country contributed 34.25 percent of total Bitcoin mining hash rate till June 2021.

With miners eventually seeking asylum in other crypto-friendly nations, the Bitcoin network had a rapid rebound, eventually exceeding previous all-time highs.

Currently, miners in the United States contribute the most to the global hash rate of the Bitcoin network, accounting for 35.4 percent of the total.

According to a recent Cointelegraph report from January, industry participants think that the BTC hash rate will continue to rise. Despite the investors’ worry caused by the BTC price swings, industry experts pointed out that the Bitcoin network has become verifiably stronger than ever before.

Michael Levitt, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Core Scientific, said that the BTC global hash rate will continue to climb at a rapid pace. However, he stated that this expansion is contingent on the future price of Bitcoin as well as the viability of the infrastructure that is now being constructed.
